UltraTech Cement shares will be in focus as the company plans to acquire Wonder WallCare, a wall putty manufacturer, for an enterprise value of up to Rs 235 crore as part of its expansion strategy.
The acquisition will make UltraTech’s line of value-added products stronger. UltraTech Cement plans to acquire Wonder WallCare for up to Rs 235 crore to expand its value-added product portfolio. With the addition of a plant in Rajasthan with a high capacity, the company improves its position in the putty market.
The acquisition aligns with UltraTech’s broader strategy of capacity expansion, following recent stakes in Star Cement, India Cements, and Kesoram Industries. A manufacturing plant for wall putty and related products with a capacity of 600,000 tonnes per year is operated by Wonder WallCare, a wholly owned subsidiary of Wonder Cement, in Rajsamand, Rajasthan.
